We want to make Portland’s best Morning Show!

Our goal is to build community, and provide more spaces for people like us to flourish and connect. we have a lot of ideas and YMD will be the platform to make them come true. more so, we want to control our narrative, syndicated radio is not the answer for morning radio in Portland… we can do better and Portland deserves better.

Our narrative should be led by us. our narrative should be told by us We are currently seeking people from our community to help us lead this narrative.

We are seeking individuals to come on board to help with, the live production, video editing, producer, content creation, and event production. for the live team we are looking for individual that can fit a The schedule of 7:30am - 11:00am Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Off air opportunities offer to have a flexible schedule.

Positions and opportunities

We are looking for Community members, independent contractors, interns, and volunteers to fulfill multiple positions for each role. Single-day availability is OK.

  • Producer

    Producer (In-Studio Live Show)

    Position Details: Prep for the show, Organization and coordinate with staff and guests, Lead organizer.

    Duties: Booking Guests, Segment coordinator, Guest liaison, overall managing schedule for the show. Pulling segment during the show. Time-stamping clips for post-editing.

  • Editor

    Video Editor (Off Air)

    Position Details: Upload show to the server, file manager, post-editing of the show, Uploading to platforms, Making Clips

    Duties: Uploading show to anchor, attaching descriptions and photos, organizing and delivering Content.

  • Board Switcher

    Live Switcher/board operator (In-Studio Live Show)

    Position Details: Setup and breakdown, On Air Board Operator, managing stream

    Duties: Getting all technical prep done before the show goes live. Making sure the stream is running smoothly. Monitoring, audio

  • Content Created/Designer

    Content Supervisor (Off Air)

    Position Details: Looking for a person to help us grow in social platforms, Create and Handle Content.

    Duties: Posting, Creating, scheduling content, and Social Strategy

  • Content Supervisor

  • Grant Writer

    Grant Writer (Off Air)

    Position Details: Help us fill out and look for grants and funding for YMD

    Duties: Writing Grants, Making Decks, and Filling out Paperwork.
